The cast and crew of Once Upon a Time gathered at a panel at Comic-Con in San Diego, Calif. Saturday and teased what was ahead for season 3.

To start, executive producer Adam Horowitz teased that the new season's 22 episodes would be split up into two segments. The first 11 episodes of season 3 will run every Sunday this fall, uninterrupted by reruns or anything else. The last 11 episodes of the season will be aired in the spring.

Fellow producer Edward Kitsis discussed the new setting for Once Upon a Time season 3, which will mostly take place in Neverland.

"We will be seeing a lot of Neverland," Kitsis explained at the panel. "it is a fantastical island and it is the place where imagination comes from, so anything can happen!"

Enstars previously reported that the producers are in the process of casting for Peter Pan, The Lost Boys and Tinker Bell for season 3.

"We have not yet met Peter Pan and we have not yet seen Neverland," Kitsis added, "and that is where we're going!" Horowitz teased that Peter Pan is going to have a "complicated motivation," though he would not go into detail about it.

Ginnifer Goodwin, who plays Mary Margaret/Snow White on the show, said that her character would be "finding out again who she is," when the new season starts. The rest of the cast remained tight-lipped about where their characters were going in season 3.

The biggest reveal of the panel was at the end when they showed a clip from the new season. In the clip, it was revealed that Ariel, otherwise known as The Little Mermaid, will be making an appearance in the new season. The inclusion was met with uproarious applause from the Comic-Con crowd.

"Anything can happen in Neverland - watch season three!" Kitsis teased.

Once Upon a Time season 3 will debut on Sunday, Sept. 29 at 8 p.m. on ABC.
