Prince William and Kate Middleton will have their hands full with the new royal baby, but they'll soon have to pick godparents for the little heir.

According to E! News, Prince Harry and Pippa Middleton are the top contenders for the spots.

Harry is an expected pick, as photos from his previous royal engagements show him interacting with children with such ease. Putting a smile on children's faces and visiting the sick, Prince Harry won't have any hesitation about taking care of his new nephew.

“He’s going to be a great uncle,” polo player Nacho Figueras told ABC News earlier this month at the Veuve Clicquot Polo Classic near New York City. “He loves kids, he loves children and he’s a great guy overall.”

(Figueras, 36, and Prince Harry, 28, have friends for a number of years.)

Unsurprisingly given his rapport with children, Harry has previously spoke of his own desire to be a father.

"I've longed for kids since I was very, very young," the royal said in May 2012. "So I'm waiting to find the right person, someone who's willing to take on the job."
