Jay Z has reportedly given friend, Kanye West advice on being the best father.

The 43-year-old rapper who has 18-month-old daughter, Blue Ivy with wife Beyonce has allegedly been attempting to persuade West maintain his calm demeanor in public and focus on being a great dad after the birth of his first child, North West.

"Jay's been giving him a little bit of coaching on staying calm in public. He's told him he should zone out, not focus on what's happening around him and instead enjoy what he's got," a source told the Daily Star newspaper. "Above all, now he's a dad, he's got to chill out and set an example for his kid."

The report comes days after the Yeezus rapper got into a public dispute at LAX airport. The altercation occured after Daniel Ramos, a photographer tried to talk to the rapper and take pictures of him. After Kanye reportedly tried to grab Ramos' camera, a fight ensued, resulting in the photographer being treated for minor injuries.

Kanye is said to have consulted Jay Z after struggling to deal with being in the public eye while dating girlfriend, Kim Kardashian.

"Kanye gets so angry and frustrated with the celebrity world. No-one knows better than Jay Z how hard it can be when you're constantly in the spotlight," the source said. "He's had to juggle a high-profile career, a very high-profile relationship with Beyoncé and the birth of their daughter."

Enstars noted earlier that Kanye reportedly feels he can't take baby North out in public because the paparazzi will ruin their "precious" father-daughter time.

"He wants her to see the world, put her in a stroller and walk around with her. But he can't. The cameras will be all over him, depriving him of these precious moments he could be having with his daughter," a source said according to HollywoodLife.com.
