Production for the season premiere of CSI: Crime Scene Investigation is in full swing and the series' writers are dropping a few spoilers for fans.

Titled "The Devil and D.B. Russell," the first episode of season 14 appears to pick up where last spring's finale left off. During "Skin in the Game," as the CSI team worked to discover the culprit behind a rash of Dante's Inferno themed killings, they wound up losing two close members of their team and family.

Snatched by the unknown killer, Morgan (Elisabeth Harnois) and Jim Brass's (Paul Guifoyal) daughter Ellie (Teal Redmann) had seemingly vanished into thin air when the credits rolled on the last episode of the season. Now it appears the investigation into the Dante killer will result in someone's death, according to new Twitter photos posted by the CSI Writers' Room.

"Started shooting the premiere this morning. #CSI #season14," the Writers' Room captioned a shot of their whiteboard, complete with notes for the opening scene.

"Open on a Great Awakenings bible. Reveal a priest at the pulpit, a closed casket beneath him. Camera finds our people among the assembled mourners. Well...most of them. Nick, Sara, Greg, Ecklie, Finlay, Russell," reads the scene summary. "We push in on Russell, struggling with his emotions as the priest's voice-overed eulogy carries us into various white flash clips from the finale. Then as we zero in on the coffin, wondering who is inside...smash to black."

The next scene moves into a flashback from three days prior.

Fans will have to wait until the episode airs Sept. 25 on CBS to see if perhaps Morgan or Ellie will find themselves in the casket.
