America's Got Talent aired its first live results show of the season Wednesday night, featuring four acts advancing to the semi-finals and eight acts being eliminated.

Child heavy metal duo Aaralyn & Izzy, escape artist Alexanderia the Great and comedian Kevin Downey, Jr. were first called forward first to get their results. Cannon announced that none of them were going through to the semifinals and were immediately eliminated from the competition. Judge Howard Stern said that he was disappointed about Alexanderia the Great being eliminated.

Next, levitation act Special Head, child dancers Fresh Faces and dance trio Hype were called forward to hear their results. Once again, none of the acts advanced to the semi-finals and they were eliminated from the competition. Judge Howie Mandel told Special Head that he blew it with his performance last night.

Visual act Tellavision, magician Collins Key and the KriStef Brothers were then sent forward to the next round. Cannon announced that the KriStef Brothers advanced to the semi-finals through the nationwide vote. After the brothers celebrated, Cannon revealed that either Key or Tellavision would be advancing to the semi-finals and one of them would be eliminated.

Cannon then revealed that Key would be advancing to the semi-final round, while Tellavision was eliminated from the competition. Judge Heidi Klum said that America did the right thing and told Key that he was going to be the next David Copperfield.

Finally, opera singer Branden James, child singer Anna Christine and classic rock band American Hitmen were sent forward to hear their results. Cannon revealed that James was advancing to the semi-finals based on America's vote.

With the top 3 acts automatically advancing to the semi-finals, the judges were forced to choose between Christine and American Hitmen, the acts that came in fourth or fifth place for the last semifinal slot.

Klum and Stern voted to advance Christine to the semi-finals while Mandel and Mel B voted to advance American Hitmen, meaning that there was a tie. The tie was broken with Cannon announcing which act came in fourth place in the vote. Christine was announced as the last semi-finalist, meaning that the American Hitmen band was eliminated.

In next Tuesday's episode of America's Got Talent, 12 new acts will compete: child dancers Struck Boyz, danger act Brad Byers, opera trio Forte, singer Ciana Pelekai, synchronized swimmer Aquanuts, comedienne Angela Hoover, sword swallower Alexandr Magala, break-dancer Kid the Wiz, comedian Dave Shirley, acrobats Innovative Force, country singer Marty Brown, and rappers Tone the Chiefrocca.
