To the excitement of its many fans, a new photo has indeed surfaced from the upcoming season of PBS' hit TV series Downton Abbey, which will be returning next year for its highly anticipated fourth installment.

The brand new image features the likes of Lady Mary (Michelle Dockery) and Tom Branson (Allen Leech) alongside one another, as the widow and widower hold their children. The photo will surely ignite speculation that the two will potentially get involved romantically with each other. However, nothing has been denied or confirmed at this point. The latest pic is one of more that circulated after the British-American drama released a special calender. 

More on Lady Mary's potential dating future 

Mary had lost her husband Matthew Crawley (Dan Stevens) unexpectantly in an automobile accident while she gave birth. Branson lost his wife, Lady Sybil (Jessica Brown Findlay), to eclampsia with the former and her family by her side.

Downton Abbey is set to kick off in the U.S. on Sunday, Jan. 5, 2014, and run until Sunday, February 23, 2014. Only time will ultimately tell what lies in the cards for Lady Mary and Tom.
