The Voice's Blake Shelton recently saw his 2011 album Red River Blue reach its millionth sale.

As the sixth studio album for the country artist, Red River Blue was released in July of 2011. A landmark album for Shelton, the LP was the first of his records to land a No. 1 spot on the Billboard 200 chart. Four singles from the album also received No. 1 slots on the country charts.

Released under the Warner Bros. label and produced by Scott Hendricks (former producer for Brooks and Dunn), Red River Blue sold over 2,000 in its first week, according to Billboard, and has picked up steam as the artist becomes more well known through his appearances on television.

The mile marker comes during a bountiful year for the 37-year-old. Shelton recently completed his fourth run as a coach on NBC's The Voice and led his team to victory for a third season. Nominated for numerous awards, the country singer won the Academy of Country Music's Song of the Year Award for Over You as well as the CMT Male Video of the Year Award for Sure Be Cool If You Did, which you can view below.

Based on a True Story, the artist's most recent release, is doing particularly well, having sold over 763,000 copies in 17 weeks, according to Billboard. The album is currently sitting at No. 11 on the Billboard 200.
