Robin Thicke's Blurred Lines is the hit of the summer, topping the Top 100 charts for seven weeks in a row. And when there is a smash song, parodies are never far behind, which is the case for Blurred Lines.

Several video spoofs have been created for this summer hit. On July 25, Yahoo posted an interview with Thicke was asked what he thought about all the parodies. It turns out the singer is actually a good sport and loves them.

One of the parodies involves Muppets and Sesame Street characters singing along to the catchy tune. Turns out, Thicke had Muppets in mind for the video all along.

"Actually, the funny thing was, when we first made the video, I actually had some ideas. Because it's such a happy, funny song, I said, 'We should make some Muppets of Pharrell and have us doing Hey Hey Hey,'" Thicke said, referencing lyrics from the song. "To see a Muppets parody is a dream come true for me."

The star also discussed the parody replacing his face with his father, former Growing Pains actor, Alan Thicke's, while playing the sitcoms theme song.

"That was a little creepy," Thicke joked. "And of course my dad sent it to me which makes it even creepier."

His favorite parody though was the one that mashed up different parts of former president Bill Clinton's speeches  to go along with the Blurred Lines lyrics.

"Oh, that's the best," Thicke said. "The Bill Clinton one was probably my favorite."
