Denis O'Hare will return to American Horror Story when its third installment premieres in the fall.

American Horror Story creator Ryan Murphy announced the news July 27 on Twitter, saying O'Hare is joining the cast of season 3, officially named American Horror Story: Coven.

O'Hare was nominated for an Emmy for his performance in the first season of the show as Larry Harvey, the burn victim. The 51-year-old actor did not star in the show's second installment, American Horror Story: Asylum.

Will Zachary Quinto Return for Coven?

Nothing else has been released about whom O'Hare will play, and he is only the second male to join the cast of Coven after series regular Evan Peters. O'Hare will be reuniting with most of the cast of the first season, including Peters, Jessica Lange, Taissa Farmiga, Frances Conroy, Sarah Paulson and Lily Rabe.

Joining the show for the first time this season are award-winning actresses Kathy Bates, Angela Bassett, Patti LuPone, Gabourey Sidibe and Peter's real-life girlfriend Emma Roberts.

Very little is known about the details of American Horror Story: Coven at this time, though it has been revealed that the season will revolve around witchcraft. It will also be taking place in different locations, including New Orleans.

It is suggested that Lange and Conroy will have significant roles in the new season, due to the recently released casting call for younger versions of their characters. It was also revealed that Lange's character will be named Gwen while Conroy's character will be named Ruth.
