Despite its current hiatus, the British-American drama, Downton Abbey, continues to garner interest for its upcoming fourth season, which is slated to premiere in the fall.

Season 3 ended on a considerably sour note with Lady Mary's (Michelle Dockery) hubby Matthew (Dan Stevens) tragically dying in an automobile accident.

A new image featuring Mary and Tom Branson (Allen Leech) alongside one another holding their children had emerged, which surely has ignited speculation that the the widow and widower could potentially get involved romantically. However, four more pics from the upcoming installment have also surfaced.

According to The Global Dispatch, executive producer Gareth Neame spoke about the fourth season, and the new actors that'll be introduced to the program's loyalists.

"Downton Abbey has seen many great characters visit the house over the years and we couldn't be more thrilled to welcome new faces that will be joining the regular cast of Downton Abbey Season 4. We hope audiences will be as excited about them as we are," he said.

Downton Abbey is set to kick off in the U.S. on Sunday, Jan. 5, 2014, and run until Sunday, February 23, 2014. Only time will ultimately tell what lies in the cards for Lady Mary and Tom.
