Jennifer Lopez's boyfriend Casper Smart gave the singer a diamond ring for her birthday, fueling rumors that he popped the question.

The backup singer gifted the former American Idol judge rare vintage pieces from the Platt Boutique in L.A., including a '70s yellow gold diamond chain link bracelet and a '40s gold and diamond ring, Enstars reported earlier.

Lopez flaunted the diamond ring to the opening of a Viva Movil store in Brooklyn Friday, and she wore a beautiful white dress by Elie Sabb to accompany her new bling. Dressed in the detailed lacy stress, crinched at the west, she accessorized the look with ankle strap pumos.

Smart hand selected the gorgeous vintage ring for Lopez's 44th birthday thanks to recommendations from her stylists Mariel Haenn and Rob Zangardi who sent him to Larry Platt's Boutique.

"He told me he had bought her jewelry before, but never vintage," Platt said of Smart's ring selection process. "So he wanted to go in a different direction, something one-of-a-kind," the jewelry designer explained.

"He appreciated the fact that pieces were beautifully made, from a different era and were completely unique," Smart's jewelry advisor explained.

Although the gift could be symbolic of near wedding bells, Lopez's rep said the diamond ring does not mean an upcoming wedding is in place for the love birds who have been dating for nearly two years.

This is not the first time Lopez and Smart had to shut down engagement rumors.

In 2012 Lopez took to Twitter to clear up marriage rumors, writing,"Don't be fooled by the rocks that I got. No engagement!"

Lopez has already been married three times to Ojani Noa, Chris Judd and most recently, Marc Anthony. Her and Anthony announced their divorce in July 2011.

The singer was also engaged to Ben Affleck, after calling it qutis in 2004.

Despite Lopez's failed marriages, she has not given up on love and she isn't afraid of expressing her feelings for her boyfriend.

"He's adorable. But you already see that," Lopez said of Smart. "He really is [sweet]. He's a good egg. I don't want to talk about it too much. It's my private thing," the "Live It Up" singer gushed.
