Ben Schwartz needs to be the star of his own television show. Or movie. Or something. Like, yesterday.

Almost everyone knows Ben Schwartz. If you don't think you do...you probably do. He's been the iconic side character in most things. You might know him as the ever-iconic Parks and Recreation side character Jean Ralphio-Saperstien. You could know him from his hilariously incredible work on the Steve Carell led series Space Force.

Most recently he has been making a name for himself as Yasper in the incredible new Apple TV+ series The After Party. He is an instantly loveable character. We could watch Yasper all day. We could actually watch Ben Schwartz all day, which got us thinking...

Ben Schwartz needs to star in his own big time show. It would be perfect and amazing and literally THE most amazing thing to ever stream. Here are twenty five reasons we think that Ben Schwartz needs his own show.

1. He Sings

This is something entirely capitalized on by his character in The After Party, but, really, we have known this for a while. (Was there ever a moment that Jean Ralphio Saperstine didn't sing about?) He is a multi-talented rockstar, and we want to see more of it.

2. THE Show Stealing Side-Character

Speaking of Jean Ralphio, that character stole every scene that he walked into. I mean, this carries for every show he is in. In Space Force every time he entered, he is the only one you want to watch. Therefore, the logic would follow, that if he were to FULLY lead his own sit-com or movie, it would be the most attention grabbing show in the WORLD!

3. GENIUS Comedic Timing

We love to watch TV show bloopers, but even better are the actors who are SO FUNNY that they create the bloopers, causing their fellow cast members to break. Ben Schwartz is one such person. A television series with him at the helm? HILARIOUS!

4. Overflowing With Funny

The funny-tap is never off for Schwartz. There exists hours of content that never made it to the screen but is equally hilarious. You know where all of that content could be used? In a show or movie in which Ben Schwartz was the undeniable lead.

5. He IS a Cartoon Character

Every leading man, especially in a comedy, needs to be a bit outside of the realm of reality. Ben Schwartz has not only played a cartoon character, but he basically is one. Through his character arc on Parks and Recreation, we say him really become his cartooniest self, and we know we could watch that all day.

6. He is TIMELESS

The biggest stars are always the ones that tend to exist in a realm outside of time and space. For starters, in his entire time in the public eye, it doesn't seem that he has aged at all. Furthermore, there is a real possibility that he is Steve from Stranger Things's son, and that DEFINITELY suggests some time travel. I'd watch a show starring a time traveler, would you?

7. Sassy

Every main character needs an certain edge of compelling sassiness. Through the years, Schwartz has proven that he is absolutely OVERFLOWING with it. The time is very much now for him to star in his own show.

8. Versatile

He can take on Julia Roberts lines and make them hilarious all on his own. That's literally a superpower. He is ready.

9. Shares with the Public

Ben Schwartz is ABSOLUTELY a share-er. In his comedy, his interviews, even the videos he makes himself: we learn more about him every time he posts. He is an open book which is just what someone who makes a career for themselves in the main lime-light needs to be.

10. The EMPEROR of Improv

A main character has to be able to roll with the punches and think of things on the fly. Ben Schwartz is one of the best improvisers of the modern day. On his improv Netflix series Middleditch and Schwartz, he proved that he can comedically do anything (even without a script!)

11. Ultimate Best Friend Energy

While this section may seem more apt to play a quirky side-kick, I firmly believe that the best friend energy that Schwartz exudes is ready to be the center of attention. He is a nice person with a lot of friendly love to give. We need a story that follows that all the time.

12. Romantic Energy ALSO On Point

He is the funniest guy in the room, but he can also be the most romantic. He proved this in the short and lesser known (which is the problem) film Happy Anniversary that he can be the romantic lead. He is the funny and romantic lead we all need.

13. Can Tackle Serious Roles

While he is OBVIOUSLY a King of Comedy, Schwartz is expert at taking on more serious roles and moments as well. This heart is necessary if he is going to be the lead in his own show or movie.

14. Could Have Been on The Office

I feel like a lot of very famous actors have stories about how they were almost on The Office. It's basically a pre-req for being a big star. This interaction with comedian Pete Holmes proves that he has what it takes.

15. Father Energy

I think you're getting the point: Schwartz has LITERALLY proven that there is nothing that he can't do.

16. HOT AF

ALSO he's hot! You can't disagree with me. This is not an open forum like that. If you do disagree, please go work on that.

17. Very Cool

He's super hot, but also INCREDIBLY cool! In most of the sketches and shows he is in, he plays the coolest guy in the room (even if that is just in his own head). He exudes an energy that you want to be around (and that you want to watch a show about!)

18. Bad Boy Vibe

Every main character needs a little bit of bad-boy energy, a disregard for the law. Psh...I mean, having a fake ID definitely puts him in that category, right?

19. Curiosity

The thing that gives Ben Schwartz a lot of his humor is his ever present curiosity. This is what makes him (and every movie and television show ever) interesting. Everyone wants a curious main character.

20. IS a Golden Retriever

This video is perfectly titled. Completely accurate. Excellent reason.

21. Stays in Touch With Friends (No Matter How Unconventionally)

It is important to know that major stars are good to the people around them. Schwartz has proven he takes time and effort to communicate with people he is close to. Even if it means writing secret letters.

22. Supportive Family

When a star rises to fame, it's good to know that they have a family behind them to keep them grounded.

23. Emmy Award Nominee

Remember when he was nominated for an Emmy Award for helping write Hugh Jackman's opening number for the 81st Academy Awards? Well, you do now!

24. Believes in KINDNESS

It is so important that when someone enters the true spotlight that they hang on to the goodness of people and life. Schwartz has expressed that he believes that you can stay kind and succeed in Hollywood. We need to see that happen for him BIG TIME!

25. He's Done Everything EXCEPT Be The Lead in His Own Big Show

He has voiced cartoon characters, written for the Academy Awards, been a side character, been a best friend, been in lesser-known films, created an improv show, done sketch, and more. It's time for something BIG!

There are definitely more reasons, but you get the idea. I can't wait until he is starring in his own show or movie. It can't be long now. Until then, I'll continue watching him be absolutely AMAZING on The After Party!
