Another big name has been added to the lineup of the upcoming iHeartRadio Music Festival.

On Wednesday, the internet radio station announced that Drake will join a list of performers that already includes Elton John, Justin Timberlake, Bruno Mars, J.Cole and Katy Perry.

The self-proclaimed "biggest live music event in radio history," will take place on Sept. 20 and 21 at the MGM Grand Arena in Las Vegas.

Drake will take part in the festival a few days after the release of his album Nothing Was The Same. The record hits retail stores on Sept. 17.

The 26-year-old's third album will be the follow-up to 2011's Take Care. Drake's sophomore album peaked at No. 1 on Billboard, as did his debut album Thank Me Later in 2010. Take Care also won the Grammy for Best Rap Album at the 2013 award show and sold more than a million copies in the U.S.

"This is my f--cking moment to say if I wanted to rap all the time, really rap, I would, but I also love to make music," he told GQ in July about the forthcoming album. "I'll do this for you right now. But it's for me, too. It's my story... I'm trying to get back to that kid in the basement. To say what he has to say. And I'm trying to make it last."

Following his appearance at the iHeartRadio Music Festival, the Canadian native will embark on his tour, deemed Would You Like a Tour? R&B artist Miguel and rapper Future will join him on the road.

The first show will be held at the Rose Garden Arena in Portland on Sept. 25 and the tour will end at the Staples Center in Los Angeles on Nov. 25. Other stops include Chicago, Miami, Atlanta and New York. The full tour dates can be viewed on Drake's website.
