To the excitement of its fans, CBS' Criminal Minds is currently gearing up for its highly anticipated ninth season, which will be kicking off in the fall.

SpoilerTV recently posted some behind the scenes images straight from the set of the upcoming installment. In the photos, the cast members appear to be both enthusiastic and hard at work.

In other Criminal Minds' news, Esai Morales (Matt Cruz) is set to be the new man in charge of the BAU, and will possess close ties to JJ (A.J. Cook). While the connection between the two isn't well known, it will supposedly be revealed as the season winds down, according to TV Guide.

Speaking of casting, TVLine had reported that Once Upon A Time's David Anders has was signed on to a guest role. Anders will play Anton Harris, an UnSub, on the crime series' third episode. The respective character will have a thing for lobotomizing his victims.

Major threat set to appear in episodes 1 and 2?
