"I am dedicated to the Tracy Anderson Method and it has completely changed my body," she said. "I exercise Monday to Friday at 10am and always stick with it."

The Iron Man star also suggested scheduling in a detox, but not a juice cleanse since it can "crash your metabolism and lead to future weight gain." After trying a juice cleanse called "the Master Cleanse," in her twenties, Paltrow was left "hallucinating after 10 days."

"My doctor, Alejandro Junger, recommends a detox once a year to rid organs of processed food and environmental toxins," she wrote. "This year I chose the Elimination Diet, which meant no additives or processed foods for three weeks."

The mother of two then went on to talk about healthy eating, suggesting prepping food earlier in the week and to "keep food at your fingertips."

"I make my 'Mexican green goddess' dressing - goat's yogurt, jalapeño, coriander and honey - or a carrot and ginger one," she said. "I love cooking and always have sweet potatoes, shallots and various lettuces in my larder and keep garden-cut herbs wrapped in a moist kitchen towel in the fridge."

Even though the actress eats healthy, she does indulge in a "glass of red wine" in the evening and has admitted to smoking one cigarette on Saturday.

"I love those moments because they are just the right amount of naughty," she added.

Before wrapping up the column, her last advice was to "try a beauty trick." To look toned for Iron Man 3, the actress said she wore "Prtty Peaushun" tinted moisturizer on her stomach.

"It is shimmery, which gives the illusion of contour; you can see muscle definition. It is great for legs too, and leaves skin looking really hydrated," she wrote.
