Josh Hartnett is finally speaking out about a secret he and his longtime partner, Tamsin Egerton, kept for months.

According to the actor's representative, the couple is already married. The pair exchanged vows and tied the knot at The Old Marylebone Town Hall in London, the United Kingdom.

The U.K. Sun later confirmed the news that there were only 12 people invited to their special occasion.

A friend of the couple spoke to the outlet, saying Hartnett and Egerton wanted the special day to be a "low-key affair."

Despite having a small venue and a limited number of people surrounding them on their wedding day, the unnamed friend said the ceremony was "classy."

"They're really happy living a low-key life away from showbiz parties and red carpets, so [they] are happy to fly under the radar." (via Page Six)

Tamsin previously spoke about a possibility of marrying the 42-year-old actor in a previous interview, saying marriage was "going to happen." Still, they wanted to focus their attention on their children as they were "very young" at the time.

Prior to tying the knot, the couple already had three children.

In a previous interview with Mr. Porter, the "Pearl Harbor" star said he's very proud to be a father of three children and his relationship with Tamsin.

"And I'm still able to do good work and, as I've got older, the characters have become more interesting," he added.

Before having a stable family life with his partner, Hartnett struggled with his mental health, opting to leave show business to focus on himself.

The actor said he didn't feel comfortable in his own skin as he was alone and didn't trust anyone.

Hartnett almost got the role in the Academy Award-winning movie "Brokeback Mountain." His role was played by Heath Ledger opposite Jake Gyllenhaal.

In a separate statement, the actor said the public wanted to build a brand around him that was "going to be accessible and well-liked."

However, he opposed the idea of taking the same roles repeatedly.

In his recent film credits, the actor was credited in small movies, but it was his decision to cut ties at the studios to find smaller gigs because he wasn't participating.

"I'm happy to be done with that era and to be making films that are more personal to me," he noted at the time.
