She may be an Oscar-nominated actress for her dramatic performance in The Power of the Dog this year, but back in 1999, Kirsten Dunst starred in one of the most insane and hilarious mockumentaries ever made - and she was still only 17.

Not only that, but the film also stars a number of other huge celebrities, back when they were still getting started in the business: There's Amy Adams, Denise Richards, and even the late Brittany Murphy from Clueless (who is just as adorable as ever). And that's not even to mention the adult cast: Kirstie Alley, Allison Janney, and Ellen Barkin all appear as in the film as well.

The film we're referencing is called Drop Dead Gorgeous, which is a mockumentary in which a doc crew follows the citizens of a small Minnesota town as their teenage girls all get ready for one of the biggest events of the year: The beauty pageant. It's a hilariously dark comedy with insane characters (several people who own rifles, including the pageant's frontrunner), as well as several explosions, insane moms, minnesota accents, and somehow still a few super kind, sweet teenaged girls caught in the middle of it all just trying to be something.

It's the same film that our own Adam Mock and Melanie Weir discussed on this week's episode of their show Made You Watch...A Podcast. On this podcast, where a 40-something year old film critic (Mock) and a 20-something former theatre major (Weir) trade movie recommendations back and forth, always coming at it with entirely different perspectives.

The perspective on this movie? It slaps.

Using their established ratings system of 1-11, with one being the worst and 10 being the best, with 11 being reserved only for movies that are worth adding to that list of movies they will constantly rewatch, Weir rated this recommendation as a full 11.

"People...watch this movie. I can't believe I never heard of this movie. This is one of the funniest things I've ever seen in my life, it's going on my reccommendations list, for now and forever. Drop Dead Gorgeous: 11 out of 11...it's like Office Space's daughter. If Office Space had 'take your daughter to work day,' this is what would come in."

It's a predecessor of The Office - that style of storytelling through showing what's going on, rather than relying on the characters to explain. It's highly worth the watch - especially if you like those shows (or the movie Office Space, which is what the first episode of Made You Watch was about, by the way). Enstarz simply had to forward the reccommendation: If you're looking for a funny new movie to throw on this week, check out Drop Dead Gorgeous.

And if you need any more convincing, or after your done, head over to Spotify, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts and check out Made You Watch...A Podcast's third episode.
