There are countless horrors associated with the Russian attacks on Ukraine the past few weeks, but one of the largest is seeing bombings and attacks on places like hospitals, which are supposed to be places of healing and refuge.

Wanting to do something to give exposure to the people working the front lines to keep people safe in these situations, footballer David Beckham handed his Facebook, as well as his Instagram account - one of the most-followed on the entire website, (46th in line for the throne, if there were a throne for that type of thing) - over to a Ukranian doctor named Irina Kondratova, a child anesthesiologist and head of the Kharkiv's perinatal center.

The doctor used the opportunity to share videos and images from the hospital, including one of the basement where mothers and newborn babies needed to be evacuated on the first day that Russia began their attacks.

"It was a terrible three hours that we spent together," said the caption. She also explained in a voiceover: "Unfortunately, we can't take babies who are in intensive care to the basement because they rely on life-saving equipment."

One of the most touching videos was one of a young mother named Yana, and her baby boy, Mykhailo, who was born on the second day of the war and needed extra care because of difficulties with his breathing.

"He is better now. But his family's house was destroyed, and they can't go back."

If you're wondering how you can help, Kondratova asks that you donate money to UNICEF and other charities like them, as their facility needs new equipment like oxygen generators in order to keep going.

"My work is 24/7 now. I'm here all day...We are probably risking our lives, but we don't think about it at all. We love our work. Doctors and nurses here, we worry, we cry, but none of us will give up."
