Kanye West has been attacking Pete Davidson with vicious remarks via his Instagram posts throughout the last month. Today, Jon Stewart reveals how the comedian is dealing with the situation that unfolded since he started dating Kim Kardashian.

In an interview with Howard Stern in his SiriusXM radio show, the "Daily Show" host gives fans an insight into his personal connection with the "Saturday Night Live" comedian.

Speaking about his thoughts on the "King of Staten Island" star, Stewart said he knows Davidson "real well," and he's "a kid trying to live his life."

"He's one of my favorite people, he's just a smart, funny, kid, trying to live his life," the 59-year-old TV personality said of Davidson. (via Fox News)

He also revealed how the comedian has been dealing with West's online drama, saying he's doing his best in a situation that's "so explosive and loaded."

Elsewhere in the interview, Stewart also mentioned he had developed a paternal instinct in their friendship because he had friends who got in trouble, which led some of them to die, and he doesn't want Davidson to have the same fate.

The two comedians met because of comedy tours. Davidson also performed when the TV host and Dave Chappelle were doing gigs in Boston and Houston.

The comedian and John Mulaney worked near where he lived in New Jersey, so Stewart hangs out with them over pizza. From there, they became good friends.

Jon Stewart's latest appearance comes a day after Wack 100 claimed that the rapper gave them a specific order not to do anything terrible to Pete Davidson.

In an interview with Adam22 on the "No Jumper" podcast, the host asked him what he would do if he ran into the comedian.

Wack addressed Davidson as "Skete," the nickname West gave the comedian, saying he can't be around him as the "Donda" rapper gave specific instructions not to mess with Kim Kardashian's boyfriend.

"He told us 'do not touch Skete, don't put our hands on Skete, don't say nothing disrespectful to Skete," he added. (via HipHop DX)
