Surprise! "Truth Be Told" found its new costar for its third season: Gabrielle Union. The Apple TV drama anthology, which follows a true crime podcaster played by Octavia Spencer, is known for switching out co-leads every season as the truths its central character seeks shifts each season.

The Hollywood Reporter describes "Truth Be Told" as: "Based on a novel by Kathleen Barber, Truth Be Told follows journalist turned true crime podcaster Poppy Scoville (Spencer) as she risks everything, including her life, to pursue truth and justice." Previous costars include Aaron Paul and Lizzy Caplan from season one and Kate Hudson for season two.

In the same report, the site revealed that Union is set to play "Eva, an outspoken high school principal who becomes embroiled in a problematic incident." Union's role in "Truth Be Told" will be a great departure from her last role in Disney+'s "Cheaper By the Dozen" remake.

We're excited to see what Union will bring to the table! We're sure it will be fascinating to see her face off opposite of Spencer in this upcoming season.
