What Is Jenelle Evans' Medical Condition?

Per the Myasthenia Gravis Foundation of America, Evans' medical condition is a chronic autoimmune neuromuscular disorder.

It is often characterized by "fluctuating weakness of the voluntary muscle groups."

Per the foundation's website, voluntary muscles are controlled by nerve impulses from the brain. The impulses travel down the nerves from the brain until it reaches the "neuromuscular junction."

When receptor sites are enough, they will be activated by acetylcholine that contracts the muscles.

MGFA further explained that the medical condition's origin remains a mystery.

Jenelle Evans' Fibromyalgia Diagnosis

Last week, Evans spoke to E! News, revealing that she had been diagnosed with fibromyalgia, and she never thought she had the medical condition until her doctors told her.

The TV star said she has been experiencing symptoms like "extremely bad tension headaches and full-body aches" over the past years.

"For a long time, no one believed my symptoms until I got a second opinion from a new neurologist recently," she added.

Per CDC, Fibromyalgia is a condition that causes pain to a person's body.

Other symptoms include fatigue, sleeping problems, mental and emotional distress. Over 2% of the adult population is affected by the medical condition.

Jenelle Evans isn't the only celebrity suffering from fibromyalgia, as other stars have been open about their medical journey.

Celebrities like "Real Housewives of Beverly Hills" reality star Kyle Richards, Morgan Freeman, and Lady Gaga also struggle with the condition.

In a previous interview, Lady Gaga revealed that she gets irritated with people who don't believe fibromyalgia is real.
