Megan Thee Stallion EXTREMELY ‘Scared’ During 2020 Shooting; Thought She'll Die
Megan Thee Stallion shared the story about the horrifying shooting incident she faced because of Tory Lanez.
For nearly two years, Megan endured the emotional and mental trauma she sustained after Lanez allegedly shot her. The two already went through legal battles, and the rapper received charges over the assault.
But this time, she shared more details about the shooting and emotionally recalled the shocking incident.
Ahead of the release of her full interview with "CBS Mornings" on Monday, the show shared a sneak peek of the discussion where the female rapper told Gayle King the moments that led to the shooting.
According to the "Hot Girl Summer" hitmaker, she and Lanez had an argument since she wanted to leave when nobody did not want to go yet. She then compared it to a normal friend stuff - that, unfortunately, led to shooting.
"We fuss about silly stuff all the time. But I never put my hands on anybody. I never raised my voice too loud. Like, this was one of the times where it was, like, it shouldn't have got this crazy," she said, as quoted by Rolling Stone.
Initial interviews and statements revealed that the shooting was rooted in a drunken dispute. But Megan told King that Lanez even told her to dance before the shooting.
With that, she got out of the car then Lanez started shooting. The Canadian rapper reportedly fired at her several times that she felt so scared about her life.
She refused to move quickly due to the fears that Lanez might shoot her again and kill her. She recalled how she felt nothing but fear as she had not been shot at before.
What Happened to Megan Thee Stallion, Tory Lanez?
Megan's new statement came months after she accused Lanez of assaulting her in 2020.
The Los Angeles Police Department released an initial statement, saying that the "WAP" rapper sustained a cut due to broken glass inside the car.
However, she defended herself and claimed that she suffered from multiple gunshot wounds through a crime "that was committed against her." She also publicized her dreaded experience in an Op-Ed for the New York Times.
The LAPD eventually arrested the rap artist and charged him with two felonies for two assault counts. One is for the semiautomatic firearm allegation and carrying a loaded but unregistered firearm in a vehicle.
