One might think when you've been in a film as iconic as, say, Disney's Frozen, one might remember the lyrics to the biggest earworm to be belted into the zeitgeist since Baby Shark.

Alas, for actor Josh Gad, this was not the case

While appearing on Good Morning America on Tuesday to promote the third season of the AppleTV+ animated series Central Park, Gad recalled an embarrassing moment he had while performing at Carnegie Hall back in April, alongside Santino Fontana and Kristen Bell (Han and Anna in the film, for those unaware.)

They were to sing the 2013 hit Let It Go in honor of Kristen Anderson-Lopez and Robert Lopez, who wrote the Platinum-record-awarded song. However, things did not exactly go according to plan. According to Gad:

"So, there's a problem with this, people assume that because I'm in Frozen that I know the lyrics to 'Let It Go.' What's funny: I don't know the lyrics to 'Let It Go.

"So, there was a little monitor, but everybody was like, 'Yeah, Josh, just move over, you know it already, we don't even need this.' I've got the mic, and I'm doing, 'The stars are bright, and the mountains are light, and you know that things are nice,' just making up lyrics. Not a single word was correct. It was a disaster.

And of course - this is a true story - I had the only working mic on the stage."

Ever the professional, Gad was able to laugh about the whole ordeal.

Central Park Season 3 will air sometime in late 2022 on AppleTV+.
