Idina Menzel took to The Kelly Clarkson Show to surprise Wicked's current Elphaba.

Idina Menzel (otherwise known as the mind-boggling Adele Dazeem), is the modern definition of a Broadway star. She made Maureen in the Jonathan Larson musical Rent - the writing of which is re-told in the Andrew Garfield movie-musical Tick, Tick...Boom!.

Of course, her most well-known role is that of Elphaba in Wicked. She originated the role of the Wicked Witch of the West on Broadway back in 2003, and while many Elphabas have come and gone, she is the one that always comes to mind when the show is mentioned.

Talia Suskauer is currently playing the role of Elphaba on Broadway; She previously rocked the role in the National Tour of the iconic show.

Suskauer was a recent guest on The Kelly Clarkson Show, talking about her viral TikTok videos. About halfway through her conversation with the American Idol alum, however, Menzel shows up.

Suskauer immediately rises to her feet in joy and gives the superstar a hug. It is a beautiful moment of pure, Broadway-based joy.

Menzel came back later to talk with Clarkson about the anxiety she often faces. It is inspiring to hear someone who is such a powerful force in the Broadway community discuss how she still becomes anxious. She shared:

"I get so in my head. I feel like the older I am getting, I am getting a little bit more neurotic. I don't know if that is with success and social media, and feeling like the lens is always on me.

"I will say that becoming a mom helped me, because I felt the need to be perfect was not as crazy...If my son has a fever, I'm not going to not be with him in the middle of the night before I have to get up. I get on stage and I'm like 'If you screw it up tonight, well whatever, you had to make a choice. If you don't hit that big note, big deal.' That's life."

Idina Menzel has a new children's book, titled Loud Mouse, which can be purchased here.
