John Cho has given us yet another example of a role he can play to perfection in the recently released trailer for Don't Make Me Go.

Yesterday, Amazon dropped the trailer, which promises a touching film about a father-daughter road trip that's both the perfect movie for the summer, and sure to bring a tear to your eye.

In the trailer, Cho lends his charisma to the character Max, a father who recently learned that he has a terminal illness. Knowing he's on limited time, Max decides to go on a road trip with his daughter Wally, played by Mia Isaac, though he doesn't tell her about his diagnosis.

Though Wally is at first reluctant to go on a long trip that will take up the rest of her summer - as well as take her away from her new boyfriend - she eventually comes around and declares, "I bet on you. I want you for my whole life."

In addition to the beautiful cinematography, the trailer also features Cho jokingly rapping as he tries to convince Wally to go on the trip, in one of many convincingly sweet father-daughter moments.

Directed by After Everything's Hannah Marks and written by Vera Herbert from This Is Us, the film is from the producers of The Farewell and Little Miss Sunshine - which fully explains why we got the feels already from just watching the two-minute long trailer.

We're excited to see how the father-daughter duo's journey unfolds! Don't Make Me Go premieres on Amazon Prime Video on July 15, 2022.
