As season 10 of Grey's Anatomy approaches and filming continues, fans wonder how the storylines will unfold for the doctors of Grey-Sloan Memorial Hospital following the drama that took place last season.

Season 9 ended with issues of infidelity, a birth during a blackout caused by a super-storm, two doctors finally admitting their love for one another and another doctor getting engaged but still having feelings for someone else.

Jo Wilson (Camilla Luddington) and Alex Karev (Justin Chambers) went back and forth in season 9 being the best of friends and then hating each other. When she started dating another doctor in the hospital, Alex got jealous and backed away for Jo, putting a strain on their friendship. However, their bond tightened once more when she opened up to him about abuse she experienced at the hands of her boyfriend. Season 9 ended with them kissing for the first time, proving that all along they both had feelings for each other.

A photo from the season 10 premiere shows Jo return with bruises on her face.

On the list of complicated relationships is April Kepner (Sara Drew) and Jackson Avery (Jesse Williams). April got engaged to paramedic Matthew in the season 9 finale. Moments later, a bus overturned outside of the hospital and Jackson went to rescue victims, risking his life in case the bus explodes. When the explosion went off, April tried running toward the bus to save Jackson, showing that she still had feelings for him even though they broke up earlier in the season. April later on hints to Jackson that she is willing to end her engagement with the paramedic if he says he wants to be with her.

'Grey's Anatomy' Season 10 Spoilers: Shonda Rhimes Talks the Show's Couples

Callie Torres (Sara Ramirez) faced all too familiar infidelity issues when her partner, Arizona Robbins (Jessica Capshaw), slept with a doctor visiting the hospital. George cheated on Callie when they were married seasons ago and Callie faced the same problem again. When she confronted Arizona - who at first tried to pretend like she did not have an affair - about it in the season 9 finale, Arizona fired back with her repeated line that she blames Callie for her amputation. The show's executive producer, Shonda Rhimes, said the couple will face their issues head on in season 10.

Owen Hunt and Cristina Yang broke up - once again - in the season 9 finale when talks surfaced about them possibly having children. Cristina wants to focus on her children while Owen wants kids. Though he told Cristina he loves her and wants to be with her, she feels that he wants children more and that she cannot take that from him. Season 9 ended with her walking away from him - turning her back on him and their relationship, literally and figuratively.

Rounding out the drama that took place in the season 9 finale is Meredith Grey (Ellen Pompeo) giving birth to a daughter with husband Derek Shepard (Patrick Dempsey). She delivered the baby during a blackout the hospital faced and when unconscious for a little bit after losing too much blood on the operating table. The couple already has an adopted daughter named Zola. They named their newborn Bailey, after Dr. Miranda Bailey (Chandra Wilson) revived Meredith from unconsciously and saved her about the delivery scare. Meredith still fears that she will have Alzheimer's like her mother.

Perhaps the biggest question for GA fans is the fate of Richard Webber (James Pickens Jr.) and whether he will survive electrocution. Season 9's final moments showed Richard lying unconscious on the floor of the hospital basement, after he went there to turn the hospital lights on following the blackout.
