Raven Symone unofficially came out that she is lesbian when she thanked the government's stance on gay marriage on Aug. 2.

The former Cosby Show star wrote on Twitter, "I can finally get married! Yay government! So proud of you."

Symone referred to the Supreme Court's decision to overturn the Defense of Marriage Act in June. She confirmed she was coming out when she re-tweeted comments byt two Twitter followers.

User @_BeatrixKiddoo, wrote: "You better come out sis" and @H8teTheeSquares replied: "She been out, momma just didn't have time for bullsh-t. and I LIVVVEEE."

National Enquirer published a report on May 18, 2012, that after she began dating America's Next Top Model: British Invasion contestant AzMarie Livingston, she moved the statuesque beauty in her home, despite her family's disapproval.

Livingston appeared in season 1 of Tyra Banks' America's Next Top Model: British Invasion and was eliminated in episode six. She later walked the runway on BET's Rip The Runway and London Fashion Week. She signed with the Bookings Models in London agency after her elimination from the reality show. She was also appeared in music videos as an extra for Nicki Minaj's Moment 4 Life and Kelly Rowland's Motivation.

According to the report, Symone, who was on Broadway appearing in the play Sister Act at the time, moved the 5'9 model into her $11,000 a month New York City condominium. A family insider told the publication, "Raven has lost almost 30 Pounds, has done a whole image makeover, and now she is the star of Sister Act on Broadway."

"She's at a point now where she doesn't care what her family thinks, and she's in love with AzMarie. She's a lesbian and wants to live that way," the source added. "She feels her parents are still trying to treat her like she's a kid, and she's told them she's going to do what she wants."

The source said the actress, who has appeared in Disney's Cheetah Girls movies, met the model in 2011 through a friend. When her family learned of their relationship, it became a "gay scandal" for the star.

"Raven has hidden being gay for a long time now," said the source. "But about a year ago, she was introduced by a friend to AzMarie, who is absolutely gorgeous. The two began seeing each other, and a few months ago, Raven finally got the nerve to ask her to move into her lavish Manhattan condo."

"When her family found out, they blew their stack and it's created a gay scandal for Raven. She told her parents she loves them, but her home - especially her bedroom - is nobody's business," the source added. "She was not going to back down, so they needed to accept it, period."

Symone responded to the report in a series of rants on Twitter.

"I'm living my PERSONAL life the way I'm happiest. I'm not one, in my 25 year career to disclose who I'm dating. And I shall not start now," she wrote.

She continued: "My sexual orientation is mine, and the person I'm dating to know. I'm not one for a public display of my life, however that is my right as a HUMAN BEing whether straight or gay. To tell or not to tell. As long as I'm not harming anyone. I am a light being made from love. And my career is the only thing I would like to put on display, not my personal life. Kisses!"
