To the excitement of the Netflix subscribers, Orange Is The New Black has now began production on its second season.

The respective announcement was made by Matt McGorry, who dons the role of the guard Bennett for the hit show. The actor had revealed the news to Entertainment Weekly on July 29, and spoke about his enthusiasm in the process.

"I should be getting a script any day, which as a fan, I'm very excited about. What Netflix has done and the risks they've taken are just kind of incredible, and I think not having to worry about ratings has allowed us to create a product that's probably taken more risks than many others," he said.

Netflix's latest series will attempt to follow in the footsteps of House of Cards, which has brought the respective company groundbreaking success with a whopping nine Emmy nominations.

When the Internet drama launched in July with 13 episodes for season 1, it went on to become a hit via its many Netflix viewers. The show's creators were confident enough in the product that they even gave it the green light for a second season before the first one was even rolled out to the general public.
