Corbin Bleu and Jeanna de Waal are starting their performances in the MUNY's production of Mary Poppins tonight.

It sounds like Corbin Bleu and Jeanna de Waal are ready to go fly a kite. The High School Musical alum and Wicked alum are gearing up to star in the MUNY's production of Mary Poppins. Jeanna de Waal will take on the title role of Mary Poppins, while Corbin Bleu will play the iconic role of Bert.

The production will be playing in St. Louis, starting today, until July 13th.

This is not the only theater festival that is opening their curtains this very night. The long-awaited production of Man of God will begin tonight at Williamstown Theatre Festival. The production that was shown at the Geffen Playhouse in Los Angeles is making its move to the Nikos Stage in Williamstown, MA.

While both shows are opening on the same night, the two are definitely different in their overall tone. While Mary Poppins is a classic musical that has stood the test of time, Man of God is an iconic, new, and exciting feminist thriller.

According to an article on Playbill:

"The comedic feminist thriller follows four girls participating in a Korean Christian girls' youth group as they deal with discovering a hidden camera in their hotel bathroom, placed there by their pastor. As the four respond to this invasion in their own ways, their shared rage and disillusionment lead them to take action against the always-present male gaze."

We wish both of these productions a happy and successful opening night!
