Suraj Pancholi, the boyfriend of late Bollywood actress Jiah Khan, is on the cover of Society magazine's August 2013 issue with his father, who said he had no sympathies for Jiah's mother following the starlet's suicide.

Khan committed suicide by hanging herself in her Mumbai apartment on June 3. She left a six-page note saying, without naming anyone, that she was harassed, tortured and raped. Based on circumstantial evidence, call records and claims made by her mother Rabiya Khan, police arrested her boyfriend, Pancholi, on charges of abetting the actress' suicide. The Mumbai high court freed him on bail on July 1 after ruling that Pancholi could not be held solely responsible for Jiah's "impulsive" act.

Society magazine has Pancholi, 22, on its latest cover sitting in front of his father, famed Bollywood actor Aditya Pancholi. The father has an arm wrapped around his son as they both look straight into the camera lens. Below their image is the headline "Aditya and Sooraj Pancholi: 'I don't have any sympathies for Rabiya' - Aditya."

Rabiya tweeted in late July that she has "proof" Suraj killed Jiah.

Since Jiah's death, Suaj has been focusing on his acting career. He stars alongside Athiya Shetty in the remake of Subhash Ghai's 1983 musical blockbuster Hero. The film will reportedly be directed by Nikhil Advani (D-Day). The original Hero was about the forbidden love between a police officer's sister, Radha, and an outlaw named Jaikishen, who makes efforts to be a better person for the sake of love. The remake is expected to be different from the original, according to reports. A source revealed to apunkachoice.com that the director intends to rewrite the entire script and the characters to suit present-day definitions of love, courtship and elopement.
