Pat Carroll, an award-winning actor popularly known for being the voice behind Ursula in Disney's "The Little Mermaid," has died at the age of 95.

According to Comicbook, the voice actor passed away at her home in Cape Cod, Massachusetts on July 30. At the time of her death, she was recovering from pneumonia.

Deadline reported that Carroll was also an actress on the big screen and television since the late 1940s.

Throughout her decades-long career, she worked on several movies and TV shows like the "Jimmy Durente Show," "Laverne & Shirley," "The Danny Thomas Show," and many more.

Her most popular work would be voicing Ursula in "The Little Mermaid." Her voice-acting gig didn't stop at the ever-popular Disney Princess as she later worked in other cartoon series.

Born on May 5, 1927, in Shreveport, Louisiana, Patricia Ann Carroll spent most of her time in her hometown before her family relocated to Los Angeles, California, while she was 5 years old.

Shortly after, she started working in the industry and got hired by local productions.

She joined the US Army and later studied at the Catholic University of America.

Her first major role was in the 1947 movie "Hometown Girl." Carroll then bagged awards since then as she won an Emmy Award for her role in "Sid Caesar's House."

The actress continued taking over the variety show scene for over three decades (the 1950s to the 1970s). She worked with some of the notable figures in the industry at the time like Red Buttons, Red Skeleton, Carol Burnett, Danny Kaye, Steve Allen, and many more.

Aside from her TV and film appearances, she also worked on stage as a theatre actor. Her most popular one was the 1965 production of the musical version of "Cinderalla" where she took the role of Prunella, the main character's stepsister.

For her theatre works, she won several awards for her "Gertrude Stein" one-woman show. The recorded version won the Grammy Award in 1980 for Best Spoken Word, Documentary or Drama.

Other acting credits include the episode titled "Mother Knows Worst" at the hit sitcom "Laverne & Shirley," "Busting Loose," "She's The Sheriff," and "The Ted Knight Show."

Pat Carroll was survived by her children Kerry Karsian and Tara Karsian, and grandchild Evan Karshian-McCormick.
