Ellen DeGerenes 'Flippantly' Reacts to Ex Anne Heche's 'Unconscious,' 'Critical' Condition
Ellen DeGeneres, 64, has finally made a comment about Anne Heche's tragic vehicle accident, which left her in a coma with severe burns in the hospital. It can remembered that after the highly publicized fiery accident, people have repeatedly referred to Anne Heche as Ellen DeGeneres' ex - as if not over two decades have passed since they have broken up.
People are just interested in how the talk show host would react to the scary news, since other Anne Heche's exes have made their comments already.
On Monday, August 8, the former talk show host, who dated the actress from 1997 to 2000, answered to queries while she was out with a friend in Santa Barbara, California. Ellen provided a brief response when questioned about her ex-current girlfriend's condition.
According to the Daily Mail, she stated that since they are not in communication, she really would not know about Heche's true condition. For her though, she just wishes everyone is fine and not hurt.
Ellen's flippant reaction to Heche's accident, comes after the Men in Trees star made headlines for smashing her blue Mini Cooper first into an apartment building and then into a house in the Mar Vista neighborhood of Los Angeles, CA, causing both the house and her vehicle to catch fire.
She was apparently trapped in the vehicle for around 30 minutes before firefighters were able to extricate her and transport her to the hospital with severe burns.
Anne's other exes, including James Tupper, whom she dated from 2006 to 2018, and Thomas Jane, whom she dated in 2019, all spoke out publicly after hearing the horrifying news, as did Ellen. James posted a photo of Anne and their 13-year-old son Atlas along with a caption on Instagram. It stated how he's praying for the beautiful woman, mom, and actress.

While alive, the most recent update about Heche is that she is presently in a "critical condition,"a rep for the actor said in a statement to Deadline.
"At this time, Anne is in extreme critical condition. She has a significant pulmonary injury requiring mechanical ventilation and burns that require surgical intervention," the rep for the actor said in a statement.
"She is in a coma and has not regained consciousness since shortly after the accident," it added.
