Reality TV star Jon Gosselin accuses his ex-wife Kate of stealing 100,000 dollars from two of their eight children in shocking court documents that have been unsealed.

In uncovered court documents obtained by The Sun, the "Jon and Kate Plus 8" father claims that Kate had made two separate withdrawals of 50,000 dollars from their teenagers Hannah and Collin's trust accounts who were both 18 at the time. While the 47 year old mother did confirm, she claims that she had only "borrowed" the money did it "to survive" and "meet her and the children's expenses".

However, her claim raises a few eyebrows as she had notably purchased a 750,000 dollar lakeside home in North Carolina on the same year.

In a recent interview with The Sun, the 45 year old reality star said that he thinks his ex-wife withdrawing money from their children's trust funds without permission is "disgusting and it's morally wrong".

"You can't just live off your kids' money." Jon said. He then claimed that Kate has not reimbursed her children for the loan up to this day. The father of 8 added that he had only learned about the missing money in 2018 when he gained custody of his two children and saw their bank statements.

However, the mother of 8 fired back that it was technically their children who owed her 387,000 dollars for funding their private school education and various living expenses.

The "Jon and Kate Plus 8" parents had originally set up trust accounts to keep the money they earned from their reality show for their kids when they turned 18. The show had reportedly been giving Kate 40,000 dollars per episode, which ran for six seasons.

What happened to "Jon and Kate Plus 8"?

The timeline of the former-couple's messy and drama-filled divorce starts midway through season 5 of their reality show, with the pair having different accounts of what caused their fallout.

Kate had claimed that the reason was her husband being unfaithful to their marriage, but Jon stands by his word that he had remained true to his wife of 10 years, and claims that he felt that their marriage was "just kind of like 10 years of a business transaction". The father of 8 eventually quit after TLC had urged them to keep filming despite their divorce.

"I'm not having my divorce filmed. I'm not having it aired out for the public's consumption." Jon stated. "And I'm not having reruns so my children can keep on watching the demise of their parent."

The two had only communicated through their attorneys up to the end of their 10-year-long marriage in 2009. Jon & Kate Plus 8 aired for five seasons on TLC, accumulating 9.8M viewers with the fifth season premiere.
