A week after being in a fiery car crash in a Los Angeles neighborhood, Anne Heche was taken off life support.

The actress was just 53 years old when she died.

At 10:35 a.m. on August 5, thirty minutes before she stormed an apartment complex, Heche went to a hairdresser and bought a red wig from his Venice Beach business.

In the photo, the "Six Days, Seven Nights" star grinned broadly for the camera while holding a fake head with a red wig.

Heche would be in a coma and struggling for her life shortly after the shot was taken and uploaded on Instagram by the salon owner.

Richard Glass of Glass Hair Design admitted that he was having difficulty digesting what had occurred.

He also told the magazine that Heche was "adorable" and that nothing out of the usual was going on with the actress.

The Los Angeles Police Department, however, verified the presence of narcotics in Anne Heche's system.

There is now new speculation that Heche was attempting suicide when she purposefully crashed her automobile into a home.

The "Donnie Brasco" actress had previously struck the carport of an apartment complex a few blocks distant prior to the second mishap. Despite this, she was able to flee the scene unharmed.

She even fled away from those attempting to save her.

However, after her Mini Cooper collided with the residence of an unknown victim, a fire broke out, making it difficult for her to be evacuated from her vehicle.

"Everyone thought Anne's life was back on track - she was working, had projects lined up, and appeared satisfied," an insider told In Touch.

"This nightmarish day is stunning." Some say it was a suicide attempt, some that she was inebriated or high, and yet others that it was a plea for assistance."

The tipster also stated that Heche's brother died after crashing his car into a tree, and the actress previously stated that she believed it was suicide.

There are suggestions that what occurred to Anne Heche and her brother may have been eerily similar, implying that she may have tried to terminate her life on purpose.

However, her troubles may have increased in recent years, as many of her friends and relatives are aware of the predicament.

They did believe that things were improving months before she died, but they were also unaware that she was thousands of dollars in debt at the time of her death.

"Her problems are famous in Hollywood," a source added. She had it everything, including a promising film career, and then it all fell apart."

Even so, it's wise to accept the source's statements with a grain of salt, because no one knows for certain what happened to Anne Heche before her untimely death.
