Prince William Had Girlfriend Online Before Meeting Kate Middleton: Mystery Girl's Identity Revealed
Prince William had a cyber relationship with a famous singer before meeting Kate, Duchess of Cambridge.
Fox News recently revisited Prince William's past relationship by sharing an article featuring Britney Spears. It turned out that the Princess of Pop once got the chance to become a Queen Consort of England because of the Duke of Cambridge.
The interview in question happened in 2002 when the "Toxic" singer revealed to Frank Skinner that she had a "cyber relationship" with Prince William during their teenage years. She added that they communicated via e-mail and saw their relationship bloom even more online.
Spears, who was only 20 at the time of the interview, disclosed that she invited the royal to dinner when she was in London. However, he never came.
"We exchanged e-mails for a little bit and he was supposed to come and see me somewhere but it didn't work out," she said.
Skinner asked her if she was blown out by Prince William, to which she replied "Yes."
Buckingham Palace, however, denied Spears' statement, saying that the royal prince did not have any romantic relationship with the singer.
Meanwhile, Prince William started dating his now-wife, Kate, in 2003. They had a short split in 2007, though, but they eventually found their way back to each other and got married in April 2011.
Prince William Cheated on Kate?
The reason why Prince William and Kate broke up in 2007 was revealed years ago.
Royal author Katie Nicholl said that "love affair had run its course" in 2007 when the Duchess caught Prince William partying and flirting with several girls near his military training base in London. The royal author detailed in her 2010 book "William and Harry" that the Duchess of Cambridge issued a last warning to her now-husband, but Prince William suggested splitting instead.

Despite the breakup, the late Prince Philip sided with Kate and told him that his grandson would surely present a ring when the time is right.
But even after their marriage, there were reports that Prince William cheated on her, still. One woman who got involved in the buzz was Kate's close friend, Rose Hansbury. The reports revealed that the royal prince cheated on his wife while she was pregnant with Prince Louis.
Alex Tiffin also tweeted about the affair, slamming the royal family for hiding the truth.
