The Wanted confirmed Monday during their On Air with Ryan Seacrest interview that Justin Bieber helped write songs on their upcoming album.

When Seacrest asked the five British band members whether or not Bieber will appear on Word of Mouth released in September, they replied "No." However, their manager Scooter Braun confirmed, "They just did some writing together."

Bieber also offered one of his songs to The Wanted since he couldn't include it on his own album.

"We spent some time with him in America and after a show he said, 'Mate I'm really buzzing about this new song do you want to come and check it out.' Then the next week he sent us a message and said his album wasn't going to be ready in time for it," Nathan Sykes explained to UK's Mirror. "He offered it to us and I was flattered because I was telling him he should make it his next single. We're hoping he can get on the track for the album."

"The song is actually really good, Justin is a really good writer," Tom Parker added.

Sykes, who recently recovered from throat surgery, gave his opinion of the 19-year-old pop star.

"The one thing that's great about Justin Bieber is he's really focused," he said. "No matter the amount that's happened in his life he knows exactly where he wants to be and I respect that."

Max George told TMZ that even though Bieber has had a bad rep for the past few weeks - most recently being under police investigation regarding a Hamptons brawl - he's still sticking by his side.

"I've met Justin and he's a lovely lad and people make their own opinions of him," he said. "From what I know of him he's a lovely, lovely guy."

In addition to Bieber, other artists who are rumored to appear on The Wanted's new album include Nasri, Dr. Luke and Rita Ora.

"This one was the easiest [to collaborate on]. We all kind of make our own personal list [of tracks we want] and I think nine out of the fourteen tracks we were all on the same page," Parker told Seacrest.

The Wanted will be performing at The Pacific Amphitheatre in Costa Mesa , Calif. on Wednesday and will appear at the Teen Choice Awards on Sunday. Their new hit song We Own the Night will be available on iTunes starting Aug. 11.

"#WeOwnTheNight I think, is my favourite song we've ever done!:)))" Max tweeted.
