The fifth season of CW's The Vampire Diaries will reportedly be featuring Caroline (Candice Accola) making the trek to reunite with Klaus (Joseph Morgan) in New Orleans.

According to Entertainment Weekly, there may come a situation where Caroline heads to New Orleans to the set of The Originals to visit Klaus in the upcoming fifth season.

However, it's also said that some complicated matters must be sorted out for such a scenario to come to fruition. Executive producer Julie Plec dished on the characters' dynamics, touching on the complexities that must be addressed.

"Klaus may be in New Orleans, but that doesn't mean it's over for him and Caroline. I think that there are a lot of complicated elements that go into trying to make this happen, but I've talked about it with Candice and I've talked about it with Joseph. There's a million logistics to work out and you never know, but it's something we'd like to do and hope to do," she said.
