Billy Eichner is sharing his personal sentiments online after the box opening for his movie "Bros" failed to have a successful first week to the point that he blamed a certain group of people from some parts of the country; what could be the problem?

Taking to his official Twitter account, the comedian shared a series of tweets to express his disappointment as there were "straight people" who didn't show up to movie theaters despite his film getting rave reviews from known websites.

In his first post, Eichner, who produces and stars in the movie, explained that he snuck in and sat in the back of a theater in Los Angeles where he noticed that the crowd loved the movie as many of them laughed and "burst into applause" at the end.

Upon going out, he noticed that some people were wiping their tears and for him it was a "magical" and "proud" moment.

He also noted that Rolling Stone added his movie to the "list of the best comedies of the 21st century." However, despite the positive reviews, there was a cinema that called the film's distributor, Universal Pictures, letting them know that the trailer will be pulled out due to "gay content."

"That's just the world we live in, unfortunately. And that's disappointing but it is what it is," he added.

To conclude his rant, he added that everyone who isn't a "homophobic weirdo" should watch the movie as he promised them they would enjoy it because the film is "special and uniquely powerful."

Fans React Negatively to Billy Eichner's Twitter Rant

After sharing his thoughts on the movie, many fans expressed their disappointment with the movie, saying that the movie was "trash" and full of "gay stereotypes."

Another fan pointed out that the movie's marketing was "terrible" and Billy Eichner isn't that popular in the industry to have a mainstream theater release.

The release date seemingly affected the movie's opening week as one fan noted that it was released during the first week of October when the Halloween season is around instead of dropping it during Pride month.

As of this writing, Eichner has not publicly reacted to the comments mentioned above.

Variety reported that "Bros" failed to get good numbers during its opening week as it only earned $4.8 million gross despite having a production budget of $22 million.
