Tupac's mother thought the hologram of his son featured in Coachella on Sunday, was "mind-blowingly awesome," reports TMZ.

The hologram made headlines after it performed alongside Dr. Dre and Snoop Dogg. It didn't take long for it to get its own Twitter trend under the name #TupacBACK.

Twitter users have called it "insane," "unreal" and "chilling" among others.

A representative for Afeni Shakur told the site she was absolutely positively THRILLED with Tupac's virtual performance, TMZ reports.

Tupac's mother watched the performance in the Internet and her rep said Dr. Dre got her approval to feature Tupac.

The hologram cost anywhere from $100,000 to more than $400,000, according to an MTV report.

Tupac Shakur known by his stage name Pac was named the 86th Greatest Artist of All Time by Rolling Stone. He was killed in Las Vegas in 1996.
