Beyonce showed off her new blonde pixie cut on Instagram late Wednesday night, revealing one of the most dramatic looks in the singer's career.

The 31-year-old Houston native, who just finished the summer leg of The Mrs. Carter World Tour in Brooklyn, New York stunned fans when she unveiled her new hairdo.

Dressed in a short-sleeve printed T-shirt and gilt choker necklace, the Run The World singer shared another picture, which showed her pixie cut from the front: her hair was slightly pulled back, with a part on the side and dark roots. From the looks of it, the new do appears to be her own hair. 

The picture got over 600,000 likes in only six hours. 

Her fans took to her Instagram to express their excitement for the new look.

The Daily Mail noted that Beyonce's wig collection was once estimated to be worth $1 million. 

The hair is handcrafted and custom made for the singer from real human hair, and a single wig reportedly costs $10,000.

No word on how long Beyonce will keep her short hair. She usually donates her worn pieces to an organization that provides wigs for chemotherapy patients.
