Jay Z and former friend Damon Dash seemed to have squashed their beef after a picture of the two men with their arms around each other went viral.

The two were friends for nearly a decade before their split in 2004 and reunited Wednesday night at a friend's party.

According to reports, they were very friendly with each other when they met up, shaking hands and hugging.

During an interview with New York radio station Hot 97 on July 9, the Picasso Baby rapper told host Angie Martinez that their work together was historical and that he still has love for the 42-year-old producer.

"What we built, you can't take that away," the Brooklyn rapper said during the interview. "No matter what, no time or space. No matter how many years I ain't seen him, the love is still there because what we've done will forever be stamped in history. We created something that's going to go down forever. I can only have love for Damon."

Jay Z, 43, also touched on a possible reunion in the future.

"I just don't know where we are in our life," he said. "Are we the same two young men at that time? Will we gel in that way? We were two different people. I haven't seen him in a while. I can't remember when was the last time."

Dash recently posted a Vine video of him listening to Jay-Z's Magna Carta Holy Grail, an experience he deemed "bittersweet."

The producer recently made headlines for his $2.8 million tax lien and has experienced financial woes for several years.
