The Notebook is making its way to Broadway this spring, and we are breaking out the tissues already. 

Nicholas Sparks fans from around the world are rushing over to the Great White Way. That's right, according to an article on Playbill, the iconic story The Notebook is making its way to the Broadway stage. Ingrid Michaelson wrote the music and lyrics for the show. Michaelson is known for her incredible works. The singer has eight lyrical musical albums out and one compilation album. Her catchy but delicate sound has us all eager to hear the mellifluous sounds of The Notebook musical. 

The book to the musical was written by the incredible Bekah Brunstetter. Brunstetter is an accomplished playwright, having written many plays including The Cake, The Oregon Trail, Be a Good Little Widow, and others. The delicate humanity with which Brunstetter has been consistently able to tackle difficult topics promises that the script to The Notebook will be no exception in her series of marvelous works. 

The Notebook premiered at the Chicago Shakespeare Theatre, and a lion-share of the creative team from this original production will be returning for the Broadway run. We are confident that this will be an absolutely exceptional theatrical experience. 

The show will open on March 14th, with previews beginning on February 6th. This excitement-sparking announcement comes just a few short weeks before ticket sale on September 26th. We will keep you in the loop on all other announcements regarding this show when they come to light.
