Despite clashing during season two of Bravo's Million Dollar Listing New York, Fredrik Eklund and Luis Ortiz are joining forces in the real estate world.

Ortiz will be working alongside Eklund at Douglas Elliman, the company announced on Thursday.

Ortiz has sold over $75 million in residential real estate over the past three years. He co-stars in the Bravo reality television series Million Dollar Listing New York, along with Elliman agent Eklund and NestSeeker's Ryan Serhant. The series has been renewed for its third season.

"Big news: today Luis Ortiz started at my company, Douglas Elliman. Filming season two we became close friends, we had our ups, and yes a green down, but I love him like a brother. We speak on the phone five times a day - and right now we are working on a $35M deal together. Boom. Love his energy, love his passion, love this job of ours which is about anyone from anywhere coming to this city and grabbing the success. Even when it's raining like today in the back of my car to - OUR - next appointment," Eklund wrote on Facebook.

Ortiz prides himself on his extensive knowledge of the real estate market and the time he takes to fully understand every client's needs. His deals include a $12.5 million duplex at the Apthorp on Manhattan's Upper West Side, a $6.1 million deal at 165 Charles Street and a $7.4 million Downing Street townhouse with a garage.

"We are thrilled to have Luis join us," Dottie Herman, President and CEO of Douglas Elliman said in a statement.  "Luis is a rising star and we think he'll be tremendous here with us at Elliman. We couldn't be happier to have him."

Prior to joining Elliman, he was most recently at Keller Williams NYC.
