Miley Cyrus dresses in ball gowns and goes for an all couture look in the September 2013 issue of Harper's Bazaar.

The We Can't Stop singer put her gold grills and twerking skills aside for the editorial photo shoot with Terry Richardson in which she wore designs by Giorgio Armani Prive, Chanel, Dior, Valentino, Atelier Versace and more.

The 20-year-old spoke to the magazine in her video interview about her famous pixie cut, her new edgy attitude and about her ever-evolving style. Relaying details of how she got the famous haircut, Cyrus said, "I was in Philadelphia working and I met Chris McMillan in my hotel room. I had him bleach my hair and cut it. I didn't even look like myself!"

As for her obsession with fashion, Cyrus said she gets her inspiration from online blogs. She said she looks at them "like all night when I'm falling asleep" adding, "I think when you read something all night it kind of settles into your brain...I think that's happened to me!"

As far as people looking to her as a style icon, she said "It's been an organic thing."

"As I take more control of my life, people are following that and are inspired by that. People want to see someone with a real clear vision of who they are right now," she explained.

Though admitting that she is in love with everything Moschino, of all the fashion designers, she said her favorite is Marc Jacobs. She added the nearly-naked mesh design of his that she wore recently to the 2013 Met Gala was one her favorites.

"Marc Jacobs has always been one of my favorites. We've stayed very close. His clothes are on this perfect line of staying high fashion, but also where I put it on and people are inspired by it. It's like second skin," she said.
