Meg Bellamy shared her thoughts about Kate Middleton after playing the role of the royal princess on "The Crown."

Bellamy, 21, portrays the Princess of Wales in the hit Netflix series. Part 1 of Season 3 premiered on Nov. 16 and featured the final weeks of Princess Diana leading to her death in August 1997. Part 2 dropped Thursday and tackled the royal events in early 2000, highlighting Prince William and Middleton's college years and romance. In an exclusive interview with People, Bellamy shared what she learned about the future queen and what people loved most about her.

"I think that's what people really love about her -- is her kind of approachability and the way she connects with people," the actress said. "I think that makes sense in the research that I found about her childhood."

Bellamy believes Middleton's connectivity is due to how her parents, Michael and Carole Middleton, brought her and her siblings -- Pippa, 41, and James, 36 -- up.

"It's not necessarily surprising what I learned about Kate because she didn't grow up in this royal household. Her roots are roots that people can really connect to because she went to school and had a very supportive family and went to university," Bellamy said of Middleton. "And I think that's pretty traditional."

Bellamy catapulted to fame after she was cast as Middleton in the fictional historical drama TV series. Last month, reports claimed that she scored a deal with Dior, months after Meghan Markle allegedly lost a lucrative contract with the French fashion house. Several brands were reportedly interested in Bellamy for her portrayal of Middleton, and they were allegedly lining up to work with her.

"They have been queuing up for Meg, she is playing the most famous woman in the world in a globally famous television drama, so many labels and brands want some of that. She is a total unknown, but she is being treated like Kate, an A-list princess,'" an unnamed source said.

"The Crown" Season 6 streams on Netflix.
