American TV personality Bethenny Frankel recently had a hilarious experience at the airport after the metal detector showed her having metal on her private part.

In an Instagram post, Frankel shared a series of photos and videos documenting her experience. 

She captioned her carousel post with, "When your vagina becomes the topic of conversation at TSA... (sentences you do not hear everyday."

The "Real Housewives of New York City" star added was on a trip with her 13-year-old daughter Bryn when the odd situation transpired. 

"Dumb and Dumber rolling into #Aspen for our annual Mommy & Me trip," she added to her post, with the hashtags #mommyandme, #holidaytravel, #tsa, #laughatyourself, #travelwithme and #holidays. 

According to Frankel, she initially went through the metal detector with her boots on because they were approved by the Transportation Security Administration (TSA), so there was no need to take them off.

When she passed through, she heard a beep and decided to remove her boots and give it another go. For the second time, she beeped and since she knew she did not have any metal on, she tried to explain it to the TSA personnel. However, when she looked at the screen, she saw that the detector noticed something near her private part, which left her, her daughter and everyone in line laughing.

Giggling, her daughter asked her if she "put anything in there," to which she replied, "I did not put anything in there. I don't have anything in my wazoo."

Frankel then quipped, "Something is buzzing in there. Maybe, it's excited to go on a vacation. I don't know."

Several netizens seemed to relate with Frankel as they shared similar experiences with the airport's metal detector. Based on the stories her followers shared, the hilarious experience seems common at airports.

"[Oh my god]. Been there. They tell you 'suspicious groin,'" commented one user.

Another wrote, "Same thing happened with me. Uhm, trust me, there's nothing there."

"Mine was flagged too when I traveled earlier this month. They're like, 'Do you need to go behind a curtain?' I'm like, 'Hell, I'm 50 and birthed three children. Let's just go now and make it quick,'" shared a different netizen.
