Tameka Raymond recently posted a photo of her son Usher V in the hospital Thursday, days after the 5-year-old nearly drowned in the family's swimming pool. 

Tameka, the ex-wife of singer, Usher Raymond who lost custody of her two children rushed to Usher V's side when he was rushed to the hospital after getting his arm got stuck in the drain of a pool. 

In the Instagram photo, Tameka is seen cradling the boy with a blanket over them, with a caption that read:

"My favorite 5 year old. What a blessing! I have always loved and appreciated my sons but tragedies and close calls make this even more evident. URV had an angel named Kile Ishmael and our Lord and true savior to look after him. Words cannot express the relief and how thankful to God I truly am. Thank you Jehovah God, Jesus and Kile...also The AV worker that saved my son is my Hero!!! Period"

Tameka is due in family court Friday to attempt to regain primary custody of the children while Usher is away on tour. 

Usher V and Nayvid were playing in the family's pool when the accident happened. Dad, Usher was said not to be in the home at the time of the incident.

ABC reported that he was at a nearby studio recording new music. 

Usher's aunt, Rena Oden was watching the kids and made the frantic call to 911. AV workers who were in Usher's home at the time gave Usher V CPR to save his life. 

On Thursday, the Grammy-award singer thanked everyone who saved helped his son's life, who was under water for almost 2 minutes. 

"I would like to thank my Aunt Rena as well as the doctors and nurses who are working with us around the clock. I would especially like to thank the two men who saved my son's life, Eugene Stachurski and Ben Crews. They are true heroes and I am deeply grateful to them," the statement read.
