The first song off the soundtrack for The Hunger Games: Catching Fire has been announced and given a release date.

Popular British band Coldplay will have the first single off the film's soundtrack. The new song, recorded specifically for the film, is called Atlas and will be released Aug. 26. It is the first song Coldplay has recorded exclusively for a film.

"I have great respect and admiration for Coldplay, and we are thrilled with how well they have connected to the themes and ideas within the film," said Catching Fire director Francis Lawrence in a Friday press release. "Their unwavering passion and excitement for the project elevated the collaboration even further, and we can't wait to share this music with audiences around the world."

A release date has not yet been set for the soundtrack though it will likely be released around the same time as the film's release on Nov. 22, much like the first Hunger Games soundtrack. The first Hunger Games soundtrack was released in conjunction with the first film in 2012 and was a financial success. The soundtrack, featuring songs by Taylor Swift, Maroon 5 and other popular artists, debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 album chart and won a Grammy for Swift's song with The Civil Wars titled Safe & Sound.

The latest Catching Fire international trailer was released Friday, featuring many of the same scenes from the second U.S. trailer. The trailer emphasizes all of the events leading up to the next Hunger Games competition and ends with Katniss (Jennifer Lawrence), Peeta (Josh Hutcherson) and their competitors ready to begin.
