Prince William has revealed that two "amazing and kind" Filipino nurses took care of his wife, Kate Middleton, following her abdominal surgery last month.

On Wednesday, the Prince of Wales hosted an investiture ceremony at Windsor Castle and handed out 50 honors on behalf of his father, King Charles, who was recently diagnosed with cancer.

Patricia Spruce, one of the 50 people honored at the ceremony, shared her experience via a public LinkedIn post.

"What an amazing experience, the castle was just breathtaking, everyone was so lovely too us as we were just in awe of everything," she wrote.

Spruce went on to share what Prince William disclosed about his wife's recovery during his speech.

"Prince William said that Catherine had two Filipino nurses looking after her, and they were amazing and kind," she stated in her post.

"I am also so very proud of all those nurses and AHPs who choose to come to work for our NHS," Spruce added.

After the investiture ceremony, Prince William had a second engagement -- he attended London's Air Ambulance Charity Gala at The OWO in Central London.

During his speech, he acknowledged the kind messages and support his family received following Middleton's abdominal surgery and King Charles' cancer diagnosis.

"I'd like to take this opportunity to say thank you, also, for the kind messages of support for Catherine and for my father, especially in recent days. It means a great deal to us all," he said.

He also quipped, "It's fair to say the past few weeks have had a rather 'medical' focus. So I thought I'd come to an air ambulance function to get away from it all."
