Kate Middleton hasn't been seen in public for nearly two months, and netizens are starting to wonder what's happening with her.

In January, the Palace announced that Prince William's wife underwent an abdominal surgery and she wouldn't return to her royal duties until after Easter. At the same time, the Palace also announced King Charles' scheduled prostate enlargement treatment. The British monarch was later diagnosed with some form of cancer but was never out in the public light for long, making some royal fans wonder what really happened to the Duchess of Cambridge since they have not seen her for months.

Several netizens took to X, formerly Twitter, and expressed concern about the future queen's health and whereabouts.

"Why is the British Press not reporting on the condition of Kate Middleton? Not one photo of her since 12/28/23, is she alive? Is she in a coma? Is she recovering happily at home? But Every day another article about the Sussexes, who lives a continent away, 'Where is KATE?'" one asked.

"I don't mean to be a s**t stirrer, but is Kate Middleton even alive? There are no credible pictures since Christmas, someone was taken away by ambulance on 12/28, and there are vague stories about hospitals and surgeries, but where the F is she? What are they hiding?" a second person added.

"Currently we are asking WHERE IS KATE MIDDLETON? Don't make us ask, IS KATE MIDDLETON ALIVE? Cause something's up," another opined.

"I am not trying to be a conspiracy theorist about the situation at all, but it is WILD how much the royal family has shut down press about where Kate Middleton is/why she hasn't been seen," a fourth person wrote.

Meanwhile, some netizens believed that the Duchess of Cambridge is fine and still recovering. One suggested that the Palace probably opted to keep quiet to maintain the royal's privacy.

"I'm sure she'll be back when she's ready," another added.

"A simple bit of googling would show that you're wrong. The Palace hasn't 'shut down' anything," another online user said. "She is being written about. The Princess of Wales is on medical leave & resting & healing, just like KP said she would. There are no plans for her to do duties until after Easter."

Middleton missed the 2024 BAFTAs due to her condition, but her husband, Prince William, attended the event. The president of the British Academy of Film and Television Arts since 2010 apologized to the organizers for her absence.

"I am sorry Catherine's not here, she does love the BAFTAs," Prince William said.
